Hi, I'm new to this forum type of stuff and at the age of 56 decided to buy an FX Impact MkII power plenum .25 600mm (FAC). I have had it now for a couple of months and have only fired JSB MkII 39gr pellets through it. I belong to a rifle range where I generally shoot .22 rim fire but have started taking the Impact with me. I bought some of the FX hybrid slugs from Airgun 101 and fired them on the same factory setting as I do for the JSB's. I want to push the slugs out to 100 yards + and was wondering what the base settings I should set the gun up to before fine tuning.

Could anyone out there who is shooting this set up with FX slugs help me with the starting point of regulator pressure and other settings?

I have just got hold of an Impact Mk II power plenum in .25 with 700mm barrel.
With the hybrids I zeroed at 30 yds I have shot them to 60 yds so far with good results, which suggests that they will be fine at 100yds, haven't been able to shoot at this longer range yet.
Reg pressure 100 bar, max power wheel, valve stop at 4 rings, haven't adjusted the hammer tension yet, chrono at 930 FPS
I will be going up to 980 FPS in a few days by incrementing the reg, maybe a bit more hammer spring tension and then when I get the speed I will slowly turn in the valve stop until the speed begins to tail off - hope this helps

And did you clean the barrel as soon as you got the gun, I did before I even loaded a pellet and got all kinds of machining paste etc out of it.
26 gr JSB on factory setting gave 960 FPS with 2 FPS deviation over 20 shots the first time I shot it after the clean.

Thanks for response, appreciate your time. I will try this at the range this weekend, my Reg pressure is currently set at 110 bar as set at factory. I understand that only having the 600mm barrel makes a difference but will see what the crono shows at the weekend.
Thanks again.
