I've recently started offering my skills to local farmers and ranchers. I'd recommend just keeping your eyes open and, when you see a potential opportunity, just go knock on the door. When they answer, I'm very polite and explain what I'm there for. Many times the owners are dealing with the problem themselves. But, sometimes they welcome the help. All you can do is ask and all they'll do is say yes or no. They won't boil you in oil and eat you for dinner! Go on up and knock
