After using my Air Arms RN10 since 1996, I sold it yesterday and bought a brand new FX Impact .177 Bronze.
I needed a new scope too so I went for the MTC Mamba Pro. 2.12X50mm
I had previously tried a Hawke 8.32X56 on the FX but to me at least, it just didn’t feel right.
Also a Hawke 3.9X40 Panorama...which worked really well.
At almost 55 years old now however, the higher mag caused more problems for me than it cured ? So I’ve stuck with the 2.12X50
The joys of getting older I guess ☺️
Anyway.... I am absolutely loving this new gun and compared to my old one, it’s an awesome tool to have.
I have an fac cert but I opted for the sub 12ftlb version. Reason being I’ve already had other Fac rated air rifles, and just wanted something I could use more at lower powers.
Back garden shooting, plus the odd pest control day and 98% of the time, bench rest at my local club.
I’ve been using JSB exacts to good effect but tried Air Arms Diablo pellets and they are even better.
I’ve also been watching some of the online videos and although there’s not much on the sub 12 version, as this gun was built to be tuned and as a result many guys out there have done exactly that, and to awesome effect,
I’m really happy with the way the sub 12 version runs.
Saying that, anyone out there who has studied smartness .... on the sub 12version, I would love to hear any tips etc you may have.
Loving the page here.
Happy shooting all.
