With nothing better to do I have come to the conclusion that my hunting rifle is becoming too heavy for me to do HFT. So I am going to put togther a more suitable package. I want it to be as light as possible and like the look of the FX dreamline lite. I have a few questions:
1. Dreamline Lite - compact or standard. What is the weight difference - I can't find it online? Assuming the compact is lighter is there an accuracy trade off - or given it is lighter could it be more / just as accurate for HFT because I should be able to support it slightly better ?
2. Carbon bottle or steel tubeā€¦. what is the weight difference ?
3. I want to replace the stock with an adjustable stock including adjustable cheek piece...... ideas ?
4. Scope - fixed magnification - SWFA SS 10x42

Thank you

Have you considered swapping it for a Wildcat Mk3 Compact, mine has the hawke compact on and is very light, I doubt that any Dreamline could get as light as a Wildcat?

Thank you. "off the shelf" the dreamline is 200g lighter in standard form. I guess going compact with carbon bottle will make it even lighter..... but.... I need an adustable stock so my guess is that you are right and my project will end up being slightly more than your wildcat, but as I say I need an adjustable stock.
