More informational than a question....
So after fettling around in the garage I find the following:
1. Security window bars/gate (flimsy for security imho) but nonetheless was there. Yes, I live in South Africa - those are must-have's in your home, else you gonna get more than just lurkers inside your home
2. Some rusty chain, but still very useable
3. A plate made from a steel material that is literally used in some portion of earthmoving machines and beautifully laser cut that my dad took out of the offcuts bin when he was at the factory in Richardsbay
I cut a little here, drilled a little there, added a fresh coat of spray, and voila..... This is what I came up with. I reckon its good enough for even supersonic rimfires
All that needs to be done is stand on the bottom bars to peg into the ground and hammer away at the gong. It makes a very satisfying sound !!
