Hi everyone. Hope your all keeping safe and well.
I’ve been looking into purchasing a air rifle the last couple of weeks but with so many reviews I’m getting a bit confused. Can you help sort things out so I can get shooting again. I have a brief which is it must be light weight. (Had a Daystate airwolf a few years back but it did feel to heavy for me) definitely would like it to be a Bullpup, multi shot, pcp. And also thinking 177. It would be used for hunting Rabbits, squirrels etc. I could go upto £1700 gun only. I have a few which Interest me which are The FX Dreamline Bullpup, Wildcat mk3, Impact mk2, Weihrauch hw100bp, Would also like to purchase from a company who has good customer service in case there is a problem. Thanks in advance. ?

Only just got back into shooting myself so take the following with a pinch of salt...

Given your budget and the fact you want a Bullpup, I'd go with the only one actually designed from the ground up as a Bullpup, the Wildcat III.

If it were my money I think I'd go with the Impact II

Cheers. I get the impact isn’t exactly a Bullpup but still light weight. Thanks for the response.

I would suggest the Air Arms Galahad carbine. Tried, tested and trusted technology and quality craftsmanship.

I love my .177 HW100BP-K. I'm in the states so it's FAC, shooting Polymags at 977 fps for 17 fpe. No problem keeping them within 1/2" at 48 yards (length of my home range). It's also very backyard friendly. I purchased it last January and after the 1st time out, I put the .22 Daystate Regal away for the remainder of the squirrel season. Since June 1st I've taken 2 groundhogs, one at 47 yards and one at 40 yards along with dozens of chipmunks and pest birds no closer than 40 yards.

I have been using .177 and .22 on my permission and I have found that .22 does "lights out" faster than .177 so I consider .22 more humane.

I have a Wildcat 3 in .22 which is unbelievably accurate, but I cant get it as quiet as my .22 Crown. also the Crown is super accurate, and with a carbon bottle feels just as light as the WC and gives way more shots.

Infact both guns in .22 give you so much confidence via the accuracy.

I also have 2 dreamlines....

If I could keep only 1 gun - it would be the crown.

I would consider going for a fac .22 upwards if your intentions are for going after rabbits as FxLover said it is more humane

Airforce airguns needs to be in the lineup. Super accurate, quiet and pretty dang powerful. Plus they are easy to modify to be extremely powerful and easy to work on if ever needed. Mine is Well Full Metal MB08 Bolt Action Sniper Rifle go to for small to medium game up to a wild boar. Calibers range from .177 all the way up to .50. They are all designed with the hunter in mind.
