FX Maverick vs FX Impact II

I'm in the market for a FAC PCP and was lined up to buy the Impact. Then, boom, along comes the Maverick and I'm unsure of what to do. I want to shoot slugs out to 150 m (vermin control) and was thinking of the impact sniper. The cash isn't the issue, it's which of these two rifles is better... no one seems to be grasping the nettle on this subject.

Thanks for any advices / views.

The Maverick is much like the Wildcat except for its plenum and double reg (mechanically Speaking)

You should go for the Impact for these reasons:
Slug probe kit (adjustable)
Valve Adjustment
More space for and more Hammer Weights available.
The Impact can still work Smooth as Silk at 170bar, but a Wildcat/Maverick won't.

Have you reviewed the Matt Dubber Slugger - https://utahairguns.com/fx-impact-mkii-matt-dubber-slugger-edition

He's got one for himself doing his Patriot .22 34g .217 at 1000FPS

If it was possible to mach the performance of this with a Maverick, then Matt would have done one!

Thank you FXL. As I suspected, the Impact is the super car, the Mav is lux saloon. I know Dubber and the Patriot gang are all FX affiliated, but I wish they’d come clean and give us a proper comparison vid pointing out what you get for the extra cash and what the possibilities are. The prices of these guns are toppy and a lot for many people, it would be terrible for someone to save up to get a mav only to realise after a month or two the limitations.

If the Mav does all that you want, fine, but without comprehensive info from respected sources pointing out issues as you have, it’s hard to work out what to do.

The Maverick In my opinion and many others is a better gun. You can adjust the regulaters & hammer spring easily . they are coming out with the slug power kit & fx states you can achieve 995 fps with 38.5 grain slugs out of the 25 cal Maverick Sniper.. With nothing more than the slug power kit and no other mods. Let's see a impact 25 do that, even heavily modded one couldn't? Watch the Videos on YouTube, most people that own both prefer the Maverick. Watch the video of a extremely modded Impact & stock Maverick shooting 200 & 300 yard 12 ounce cans. The stock Maverick does just as good or better than the heavily modded Impact. Fx market's the Maverick as a heavy hitting slug shooter.

I was in the same dilemma as you are. I did 3 months of extensive research on both platforms. The matt dubber Impact 22 cost almost 3k, And only achieves 70fpe. The Maverick Sniper 22 w/slug power kit & no other mods achieves over 71fpe, And cost a $1,000 less than the Matt dubber Impact 22. I decided to go with the power tuned AAA FX Maverick Sniper 25, w/dual hole extreme flow transfer port & modded pellet probe from Talon Tunes. It is getting power & accuracy tuned from Tony as we speak. And only cost $1,999 w/mods & tune. After watching all the Videos and speaking with several people that own both platforms it was a no brainer.
