Hi All,
I'm coming back to Shooting, been away from it a long time, Anyway I have a question, I thinking of do some Pest control, so I'm going to joint the BASC and then approach a farmer , I have a gun SMK Victory LB600, its ok, till I can get a better one, So I want to shoot Rabbits & Grey Squirrels, what do I do with the remains of the Rabbits & Squirrels, can I leave them there or do I have to pick them up, and if I pick them up what do I do with them, I know you can put the rabbits in the pot, but what about the rest..? One other thing I live down in Sutton, Surrey does any one know any good farm I can approach ?

thank very much,

Steve
Glad to see you getting back into pesting. I understand that GB is now looking to outlaw lead ammunition. So, let me suggest to you that you find a good non-lead solution for your rifle.
As for leaving or picking up your quarry, that depends on the land owner whom you'll be getting permission from. Here, again, the non-lead option will avoid secondary poisoning if the game is to be left behind. When watching most of the many European pesting channels, it will be noted that many of them pick up the carcasses.
Here in the states, I use lead ammo if the remains go in the trash and non-lead if something (cats, owls, coyotes, me) is going to eat them.
