I'm relatively new to airguns and bought a springer a couple of years back and then last year decided to buy a PCP
My springer is a Weihrauch HW99 and I love it so decided to stay with Weihrauch as they get such good reviews
I've had the HW100BP for a little over a year now and there is a very small amount of movement and occasional click in the pistol grip.
I've disassembled and put it all back together but still the same and I'm beginning to wonder if the small (M4?) countersunk screw at the front and 3mm pin at the rear are sufficient to cope with the stress and strain of long term use.
I do routinely pick the rifle up by the pistol grip and a few questions if anyone could help me:
1. Should I be picking the rifle up by the pistol grip
2. Any one else had or heard of a similar problem
3. Anyone know of an aftermarket stock that might eliminate the issue
In the round I love the rifle but it was expensive and this niggly issue detracts from the pleasure of owning and using it.

I have not heard reports of this. But is possible.
Firstly if the grip is designed to hold the gun, yes you can pick it up using the pistol grip. That's a major function and should not fail.
In general with all manufacturers some parts may work loose, I have heard of other BP airguns with similar grips having loosening issues.
Maybe ask the RFD who sold you the rifle. They have a direct link to the importer / distributor and they can ask what the fitting is for the aftermarket possibilities. I am not aware of a big range for the Weihrauchs - but do ask.
Don't have a magic answer for this one, but always best to ask the retailer and they can get official advice. But things do work loose and maybe a characteristic of the gun.

Many thanks for the reply - I bought the rifle from Bradford Stalker and the guys there are brilliant.

I am pretty sure the grip is the same as on the 44 Pistol, that one is secured by a bolt in front of the trigger guard, and a pin at the rear.
My bet is that your bolt has worked loose. on the pistol i had to strip off the front trim to get to it - was dead easy took seconds.
I have not worked on a BP but the HW44 came apart easily.
but I warn you - when you see the die-cast alloy and plastic inside, it might make you wonder how they have the nerve to price these guns as they do...luckily I got nearly all of my money back when I sold my 44!

I had the same thing on my HW100 BP, I fixed it by removing the pistol grip and placing a strip of tape down either side of the grip (the portion that is hidden when fitted, refitted the grip and now there is no movement at all.
