Hi Have a .22 webley premier circa mid 60's. (Original post said mid 70's). Don't know if ft lbs exceeds newest regs for pistols although expect spring worn by now. Dont know if it could be replaced but 76 year old eyes not so good for open sight
new webley typhoon looks the biz especially because I can fit a red dot sight or similar. If I bought .177 instead of .22 , would output drop off significantly? Wouldn't be using more than ten metres but like the knockdown power of .22.
thank you
Why are you talking about "the knockdown power" of an air pistol? They're unusable for anything but knocking over cans (if you can hit them). NEVER use an air pistol to shoot a living creature!

The crockery that me and my mates used to shoot at didn't break when using .177 We also use clays now. If you can't address my query then please don't bother stating the obvious and give someone that knows what they are talking about a chance

This response is to Mondo. I spat my dummy out by responding to your concerned reply in a childish manner. I accept the your response was appropriate under the circumstances and that I could have provided more information initially which may have elicited a different outcome. I have since realised that it was you that responded to my multi-question post in great and helpful detail some months ago. It is apparent that you do know what you are talking about and I apologise for suggesting otherwise.
Thank you
