Looks pretty simple and straightforward BUT would, of course, invalidate your warranty and might get you an illegal gun if you don't have a good chrono to check your energy level. Always bear in mind that the police don't have to use the same pellets that your gun is tuned to use if they check your piece and ANY result over 12 ft lb will get you in the poop.

That said, do give it a go. I find tuning air guns almost as much fun as shooting them.

Try other pellets first. The barracudas are very heavy, every rifle has a sweet spot in terms of weight of pellet and fit in the barrel that combine to affect overall velocity and as such power. I know my impact shoots express and standard exacts at 11.5fpe. Exact heavy and Hades at 11.7fpe but then loses power with anything heavier.

Anything too heavy needs more oomph, which you don’t have sub 12. If you tune your gun to shoot the barracudas at 11.5fpe, you may find the lighter pellets then go over. Best bet is try a variety of weights and sizes, shoot with a Chrono and record speed, power and consistency for each pellet along with group size etc. Then use that info to choose which way to go.

Cannot spot .22 or .177 - but JSB do make lighter .22's - 13.43 they will zip along, in .177 try some lighter JSB exacts, also 4.5 rather than 4.52 reduces friction in the barrel.

If your sub 12 - I would regard the B Match as too heavy of you want speed.

Thanks guys for your responses! All ideas will be looked into. I have since purchased a chrono and will be doing some testing. I will definitely be making sure that i don't go over 12ftlb/16J.
