Hey all, first post here. So over the last few months I have been building a pretty neat little break barrel. I bought a Hatsan Edge for wicked cheap and put a nitro piston in it, as well as built my own trigger out of various seers, springs, blades, etc. Lots of other small stuff and some paint, as well. Been a really cool project been learning a lot about break barrels. But the star of the show here is that I actually came up with a way to tune this gun WITHOUT taking it apart. It is essentially a supersized version of how a hammer spring tension tuner works on a PCP, with a set screw turning in and out on the back of the receiver and delivering preload on the piston. Only problem is I used a very large set screw and even with that the threading has stripped a bit and it is extremely hard to turn the set screw even with a very long allen. The threading is 1/2 by 20. Does anybody have any suggestions to remedy this? I have kind of been at an impass with it for a while now...
