just like to say I purchased a GMI Swaging kit to make my own slugs as I love tinkering not to save money at all .
well the results were amazing in both quality of slug also accuracy . I have both .22 calibre and a .35 calibre kit both are really good.
so easy to use and fast I use a arbor press for the .22 kit and can make 27gr , 32gr ,31gr,30gr and lower I think also shallow hollow or deep hollow and even dimple nose obviously these effect weights too but makes more choices .
I also cast my own blanks which is super easy I can explain more in depth if anyone needs to know or you can purchase lead wire approx 4.5mm either from china or uk stock has some .
as for the accuracy wow I'm actually getting same hole at 50yrds I thought I was missing but no same hole so took out too 100yrds and easy sub Moa I really am so pleased with this kit and can't recommend it enough its like having free ammo and on the rainy days just make loads .
I have just made up a batch of the Dish base 31gr slugs see how these do I've tested these from my fx impact mkii and fx crown both same result I've found the tightest group was with the superior heavy liner which makes sense as they are on the heavy side for .22 any questions ill try to answer but get over too GMI Engineering honest you won't be disapointed and something to do while poor uk weather .

I use a clarke 1ton with ease for .22 but .35 needs way more so use my 20ton bearing press . My advice would be go for the biggest you can afford if you plan on doing .30 ect if not 1 ton should be fine just put longer handle on it
