FX Wildcat MK3. Just bought this new gun. No smooth twist superior barrel unlike in the video of giles with a new Wildcat, is that right? Is this gun rated at sub ft lb? No handbook supplied, is that right? Opinions on ultimate silencing the gun to a whisper?

I would speak direct with your Dealer that you purchased it from. All FX Airguns are supplied with a basic manual and the barrel liner.....I have not idea what liner you have, if you think its not a superior, again I would say speak with your RFD. Power rating, again, no idea which country you are in. If its the UK then sub 12 without a license is the law. Again, it really is best to speak direct with the person or place you purchased it from.

Best silencer - well I would go with a Donny...just because they do look the part. All silencers work kind of the same within a dB of each other.

Contacted RFD, said he never looked at the gun but that for smooth twist barrel - this is a separate package and price? Never a mention of that before! Informed that a manual was available from FX over the web, but I have not found one, again not told this previously. How do all others get around these problems? Thank god for forums.
Can not get my head around the power settings ie sub or over 12 ft-lbs. If the gun is supplied at 12ft pound, does altering the power setting behind action not put it over the 12ft-lb?

No if your rifle is restricted to Sub 12 then no matter what you do altering the settings will not put your gun over the magic number. Your RFD is telling porky pies all new guns come with a manual however the are on line at the FX web site. As to the liner. I have been told that all MK3s come with the new liner. Simple to find out email FX with the serial number and they should get back to you. As to the RFD not looking at your rifle I’d say that a poor RFD for not checking that the gun was fit for sale do not use him again.
